SANAA has deserved this prize for the past 6 years. The thing I find most inspiring about Sejima’s work is that she is humble… she doesn’t fit the profile of the megalomaniac architect. She shares the credit with a partner. She hates public speaking, she demures at each accolade. (And even Jacques Herzog can’t talk about her without glowing.)
